Glasses Guardian is an iPhone and Android app developed by Rebrandmint LLC ("we", "us", "our"). The app helps you keep track of your Bluetooth-enabled smart glasses using Bluetooth Low Energy and your device's location services. Glasses Guardian is an independent third-party app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any glasses manufacturer.
We do not collect any personal data. The app does not require an account, does not transmit data to our servers, and does not share data with third parties.
The app does store the following information locally on your device only:
This data is stored in the app's private on-device storage (UserDefaults on iPhone, private app storage on Android, excluded from cloud backup) and never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of it.
The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to:
The app only connects to the specific pair of glasses you select during pairing and does not scan for, identify, or connect to any other Bluetooth devices around you.
When you grant location permission, the app uses your GPS location solely to:
The app never sends your location to us or anyone else. Address lookups use your phone's built-in geocoding service (Apple on iPhone, Google Play services on Android). On Android, the History map loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap (tile.openstreetmap.org), which receives your IP address and the map area being viewed, as with any web map. On Android, location is only read while the app is open; the app never requests background location access.
The app runs limited background activity (on Android, it is woken by the system's Bluetooth disconnect event) to monitor your glasses' connection status and send you local notifications if they disconnect. All background processing happens on-device.
The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); we never see your payment details. Map tiles on Android come from OpenStreetMap as described above.
All data is stored locally on your device. You can clear your disconnect history at any time from the Settings screen in the app. Uninstalling Glasses Guardian permanently removes all locally stored data.
Glasses Guardian is not directed at children under 13. Because the app does not collect any personal information from any user, it does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Because your data stays on your device, its security depends on the security of your phone. We recommend keeping your phone's software up to date and using a screen lock.
Glasses Guardian is an independent third-party application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or authorized by any smart glasses manufacturer. All product names, trademarks, and registered trademarks referenced anywhere are the property of their respective owners.
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Because the app does not contact any servers, you will not receive automatic notifications of changes — please review this page periodically.
